Colorectal Screening
Our colorectal screening services at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus and Abrazo West Campus include colonoscopy as a valuable tool in the diagnosis and treatment of many conditions including colorectal cancer screening.
It is recommended that patients begin regular colorectal cancer screenings at age 45. Those at increased or high risk of colorectal cancer might need to start colorectal cancer screening before age 45 and/or be screened more often. Risk factors may include:
- Family history of colorectal cancer
- Family history of polyps
- Personal history of inflammatory bowel disease
There are several options for colon cancer screening. Our healthcare providers will make a recommendation based on several factors including, but not limited to, medical history, preparation requirements, convenience and cost.
