General and Bariatric Surgery Services

If you're considering surgery for weight loss, a digestive issue or another health concern, our team is here to help you explore your options. Some of our general surgeons also offer bariatric (weight loss) surgery for eligible patients with obesity-related health concerns.

Weight loss surgery may be considered for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or higher, or 35 and above with certain health conditions. Some procedures, like gastric banding, may be an option for people with a BMI of 30 or more who also have serious health issues related to weight.

All surgeries involve some level of risk, so it’s important to talk with your doctor about what’s right for you. We’re here to support you in making informed decisions about your care.
