The foundation of the programs is patient-centered care with innovative approaches to training and collaboration. Residents prepare to be medical leaders and patient advocates, working closely with specialists and clinicians at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital and Abrazo West Campus.

Each campus offers opportunities to create a well-rounded residency program:

  • Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital – Renowned cardiac and vascular specialists
  • Abrazo West Campus – Emergency and trauma training at the Level I Trauma Center
  • Abrazo Arrowhead – Numerous disciplines
  • Abrazo Central Campus – Family medicine rotations
  • Abrazo Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program

    The Abrazo Health Network’s Cardiology Fellowship Program is a three year ACGME accredited program accepting up to two fellows per year.
  • Abrazo Emergency Medicine Residency Program

    We offer training in diverse hospital settings with world renowned faculty that will prepare you to take on any medical challenge in an atmosphere of respect, collaboration, and constant improvement.
  • Abrazo General Surgery Residency Program

    We are pleased to offer the Abrazo General Surgery Residency Program, a five year, 15 resident program, accepting three new residents per year. Our first residents will start in June 2019.
  • Abrazo Family Medicine Residency Program

    The Abrazo Family Medicine Residency Program offers the full spectrum of family medicine education. We believe that the family physician should be the foundation of any healthcare system, and we are working to provide better access and higher quality of care to our Arizona communities.
  • Abrazo Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program

    The Abrazo Health Network’s Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is a two-year ACGME accredited program accepting up to one fellow per year.
  • Abrazo Internal Medicine Residency Program

    We’re excited to offer the Abrazo Internal Medicine Residency Program, a three year, 45 resident program accepting 15 new residents per year. Our first residents will start in June 2019.
  • Abrazo Transitional Year Residency Program

    The Abrazo Health Network Transitional Year Residency Program is ACGME Accredited; is a one-year program accepting up to 13 residents per year. The sponsoring programs for Transitional Year are our Internal Medicine and General Surgery residency programs.
  • Vascular Surgery Fellowship

    The Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital will educate and mentor residents and fellows to become the next generation of vascular surgeons capable of serving the community by providing comprehensive vascular care.
  • Hedley Adult Reconstruction Hip & Knee Fellowship

    The Hedley Adult Reconstruction Fellowship is an AAHKS accredited fellowship that trains 1 board eligible orthopedic surgery fellow annually in the full scope of adult total joint reconstruction.
