About Ashish Gupta
Dr. Ashish Gupta is a board-certified, non-invasive cardiologist with more than 25 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He serves as the Director of Pulmonary Hypertension and Director of Heart Failure at Abrazo. In addition to being a general cardiologist, he leads specialized care for patients with complex pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. Dr. Gupta did his undergraduate training and the University of Michigan. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997 and went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He further specialized in Cardiovascular Disease and completed a fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he trained with pioneers in pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. He is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). In addition, he is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Medical Association. Beyond patient care, Dr. Gupta is actively involved in clinical research, including trials involving pulmonary hypertension and device therapy for heart failure. Dr. Gupta believes being a cardiologist is about applying technical skills, but with a humanistic approach to others. He has a patient centric approach to care and lives by the three A's: Available, Amicable, and Able. Outside of medicine, Dr. Gupta enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exercising, and traveling. He is Fluent in French and Hindi and is learning Italian and Spanish.
