About Charles Peterson
Dr. Peterson graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in honors history, and earned his medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed his residency in family medicine at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale and a fellowship in sports medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He entered private practice in 2002, and was one of the original founders of Arizona Sports Medicine Center in 2004. He is board-certified in sports medicine and family medicine. Dr. Peterson is a team physician for the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, the Chicago Cubs, the U.S. Ski Team and Mountain View High School. He was named a Top Doc by PHOENIX Magazine in sports medicine for 2010, 2011 and every year since 2014.

Dr. Peterson is very knowledgeable in his field of specialty and has a pleasant demeanor with patients. I had raised my issues with 4 different doctors prior to this visit, including 2 specialists. While much of the diagnostic work ups had previously been performed, Dr. Peterson was able to provide a more comprehensive multi-factor diagnosis to explain the causes of my pain and discomfort. He also gave a thorough explanation of treatment options with a recommended approach that I will now pursue with a degree of optimism.

Although I live in North Phoenix....I will drive for 45min to an hour to go to Dr. Peterson. So yes I can 100% recommend Dr. Peterson (and have done so) to others. :)

Felt the wait time was a little along, however I can see Dr Peterson spends time with his patients and allows time for questions and answers.

The staff was professional and friendly. Dr Peterson's explanation of the procedure he was going to perform was clear and precise. I was given time to ask questions. Felt comfortable about the coming procedure. Feel very comfortable with Dr Peterson and would recommend my friends to him.
