A native of Chicago, IL, she completed her undergraduate training at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Mix received her doctorate at the Chicago campus of the University of Illinois, where she also obtained a Masters degree in Bioengineering and an MBA degree. Her post-graduate training included an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Southern California, and both cardiovascular medicine and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Banner University Medical Center.
Dr. Mix is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, interventional cardiology. Dr. Mix has more than ten years of experience specializing in coronary and peripheral vascular intervention via both the radial and femoral approaches. Interests include heart failure, heart disease, and women's heart disease.

The nurse pulled out her laptop to take down my medical history and when she asked why I was being seen today, I began to cry. The nurse closed her laptop, walked over to me, and LISTENED. Dr. Michelle Mix was energetic, very smart, kind, straight forward, listened very well to my history and concerns. She gave my a care plan of action that was aggressive and hopeful. Among many other things, one act I mostly appreciated was when she told me I needed to lose weight she was unapologetic, straight forward, but very kind. I never had to guess with her. I left my appointment feeling that I completely trusted her with my care and life. I knew my care plan and the reasons behind it's making. I felt a part of it's making and again trusted the plan and Dr. Mix, her actions, methods, and her personally. I feel that there are not words to fully express my appreciation for Dr. Mix and my experience with her and the office.

The making of the appointment could have bleen a very complicated process to me, but the staff gave detailed instructions and we're very helpful in explaining the process of getting my records and referral from my other dr.s to them.

She has all the qualities you look for - high intelligence, compassion, thoroughness, ability to look at all body systems and connect with you as the patient. This was among if not the best doctor's visit I have had. The office was clearly well-run, each individual I had interaction with was pleasant, helpful and friendly and the entire process was seamless. Dr. Mix is fantastic - exceptional bedside manner, was very thorough and committed to my health. She quickly addressed and took seriously my concerns without being rushed. Angela was fantastic as well - very knowledgeable, thorough and helped lower my stress level about my potential issue. Cannot say enough about this team.
