Dr. Cohen has excellent perception and intuition about his patients. people fly and drive from long distances to receive stellar care. I can tell you and I have to repeat this many times when he first did my right hip, I walked 8000 steps that weekend with no pain medication other than the aspirin to prevent clots, I have referred medical people, doctors and nurses and physical therapists to him, and they found their experience to be similar to mine and all of us are very grateful.

When I choose a physician, I do research and talk to many people, including physical therapists, and other staff and other providers. I was confident I would be in the best of hands by choosing Dr. Russell Cohen. I have to repeat that the first surgery he did for me was a total right hip replacement, not only did I have no further problems with my right hip, but after he used his surgical scale on it, my right knee also got better with no surgery at all. I tend to think that the skill with which he approached the hip replacement aligned my right knee so that it also continues to perform painlessly since 2017. Osteoarthritis is not fun at all but I manage this disease with the mindful eye of Dr. Cohen, who inspires confidence and helps to create good outcomes for my 77 year old body.Thank you, Dr. Cohen and I thank your staff as well.

A medical facility is only as good as the people that work in it and so far with Abrazo we have found the doctors and the staff to be impeccable. We are glad that we found Abrazo and we found Abrazo because of my very very close friend Dr. Brent Rich, because of him I was able to find a cardiologist and Dr. Byrne an orthopedic surgeon and Dr. Cohen my wife and I couldn't be happier. Despite the relatively brief visit, I was examined thoroughly (I was there for a knee issue). The PA explained what he was doing every step of the way. Also he listened to my explanations of what I have been experiencing with my knee. He explained the next steps in confirming my diagnosis and what is likely to happen next. He treated me with respect and kindness. Then the doctor came in to meet me and discuss my case with the PA. The doctor listened to me; treated me respectfully and kindly, too. This next bit is important: it was clear that he (and also the PA) had fully considered all the details of my case!!! This gives me great confidence!!!!!!!

I appreciated that they didn't want to immediately go into surgery, even though the other hip is following the same degenerative pattern. I wanted to know if hip surgery was going to be in my future this year so I could calendar it, and it's not. So I felt I got good news, even though I'm still going to have low intermittent hip pain.

There was a delay getting my information into the computer because of a new system, but the person who was putting the information in, had a person training her right there over her shoulder, so the process was smooth. Dr Cohen has performed two total hip replacements for me; one almost 12 years ago and my most recent, one year ago. He is THE BEST in his field, constantly perfecting the surgery. After my hip replacement last year I did not even need physical therapy. At three weeks post-op I was walking normally and had terrific range-of-motion. Dr Cohen's bedside manner is amazing and he's always given me as much time as needed to ask questions. I highly recommend Dr Cohen for hip and knee replacements. No need to interview other surgeons, as they don't get any better than this.
