About John Vanderhoof
Dr. Vanderhoof is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Upon earning his B.S. Degree in Biology/Physiology from the University of Maryland in 1993, and earning his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1998, he completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he scored in the 99th percentile on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Board Examination.
Dr. Vanderhoof is a recognized expert in the field of orthopedic surgery, being the recipient of numerous awards including the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt's Distinguished Service Award. He specializes in minimally-invasive orthopedic adult and pediatric fracture care, hand surgery, diabetic foot management, and general orthopedics.

I was very concerned about how I may have a permanence to this injury and Dr. Vanderhoof put me at ease. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and that was perfect. Also, this appointment I messed up and came in an hour late but they were still able to get me in, and did so with kindness and respect rather than irritation and judgment. I'm ready for surgery now and I appreciated the doctor explaining the procedure and secondary questions I have - we're going to fix one joint with a realistic hope that the second joint won't necessarily need surgery, but if it does, here's what could be done. I got a very good explanation.

On my first visit, the Xray technician said he did not have a slide board for me to use to transfer from the wheelchair to the table for the Xray. On our next visit, he had one available! Great service!

the staffs upfront were all Great with explaining and helping with everything. the only glitch I had was that might information that was supposed to be in the computer was not there or transferred over to the tablets that the front desk uses. so we needed to take the time to enter everything again. but it all got done in a quick period of time. from start to finish the experience was very nice in your office
