I was unexpectedly in bigeminy again 6 weeks after 2nd ablation and he personally called electrophysiology and got an EKG and 5 day heart monitor on. He also got a nuclear stress test for 5 days later (even over a holiday weekend) and a visit with electrophysiology also timely. Dr. Byrne is the best and his PA's are both wonderful as well.

I was excluded from Dr. Byrne's capricious decision to not refill my prescription for Dofetilide because I did not want to undergo an echocardiogram. As I explained to Dr. Byrne, I do not have any of the symptoms asked of me. I told him that I feel great, as my test results confirm, and did not want to change the medications that I have been taking for over 7 years, 3 of which Dr. Byrne prescribed himself. Dr. Byrne presented a rubric on his cell phone to try again to persuade me to undergo the test. (The reason I do not chose to take the test is any result may require Dr. Byrne to change my medication or worse yet, perform a procedure that he mentioned such as opening up blood vessels that may cause harm because those changes are not risk free.) When I told him my concerns, he became confrontational and said tha

Overall, a good experience was had. Dr. Byrne and his staff are very thorough when it comes to asking questions and getting answers about family medical history and how that history may or may not factor into theorizing on what a medical problem could be. He was very clear about explaining what having a stress test and EKG means. For me that's a very important thing because I do have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder with Panic and Depression. I have had many experiences including surgeries and in 2007 he and his associate Dr. Thomas installed a very large stent from the main arteries in my legs up to my lower aorta as it leaves my heart. Dr Byrne is the model physician; professional, confident, sociable, and exceedingly knowledgeable regarding his field of practice. His surgical skills are exceptional and designed to accomplish the needed medical intervention in a manner that results in the least discomfort possible for the patient. His leadership among the other physicians in his cardiology treatment group is obvious.

I have a complicated health history and have seen many, many doctors. It is very difficult to find a doctor, let alone staff, that seem to honestly care about you and listen when you talk. I always feel heard and cared about by Dr. Byrne and his staff. I wish he were my primary. He's a great doctor.
