About Peter Maki
Dr Maki is a Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist and does procedures, including coronary intervention, peripheral angioplasty and stenting, pacemaker insertion, and cardiovascular diagnosis and prevention. He is the clinical director for cardiac computed tomography. Dr Maki is a board certified in cardiovascular CT, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine with over 30 years of experience. He has been recognized by Phoenix Magazine as a Top Doc for more than 10 years.
Dr. Peter Maki is one of the original founders of Biltmore Cardiology, which originated in 1994. After graduating from Occidental College with honors in 1973, Dr. Maki attended University of Arizona Medical School, obtaining his medical degree. Dr. Maki did his internal medicine training and cardiology training at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusettes.

Dr Make is an old school doctor that care and listens to his patients concerns and addresses them in a way we understand. He is very patient and makes you feel like you're his only patient. The receptionist actually completed my registration form for me. I think she realized that old guys are usually not patient with electronic registration systems.As for delays or waiting time, there were none. Blood pressure was high. Since I tolerated the calcium channel blocker medication, I was taking that perhaps I should take 3 tablets per day instead of two tablets per day. Dr. Maki suggested yes, we should try that. Dr. Maki suggested several tests that I take in the coming weeks as a precaution based on my history. The secretary was helpful in setting up my appointments based on time of day to high impact traffic.

I noticed since last visit that much of the old staff has moved on either by choice or some other reason. Before it was like going to Cheers - just about everyone greeted you and all of Dr Maki's staff knew your name. Now people looked bewildered or scared.

Very good. The same day, I received an email inviting me to setup a portal account online which I did. The account contains all medical info plus future appointment scheduling. I can contact nurses or doctors from the site.

Dr. Maki along with Kevin his PA and staff are great! They are intentional with their clinic time and explanation of tests/results in making sure nothing goes over your head or for you to become overwhelmed with information. In addition, the staff is exceptional in returning calls/lab results, and appointment scheduling etc. Bar none, one of the best in the valley!

Your patient transition was deplorable-No one knew what they were doing: No ability to enter data, IT people everywhere. Why did Abrazo not have day 1 patients records already in your system? It was absolute chaos! My test & visit with Dr. took 2 hours!! I rate my first experience the worst & have concern continuing with this practice. My heart rate & blood pressure accelerated which is not healthy.
