Dr. Jamal earned his MD at the University of Tishreen School of Medicine in Syria, where he earned the Award for Academic Excellence. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Missouri and St. Lukes Hospital Mid America Heart Institute in Missouri. Dr. Jamal completed his Cardiology fellowship at Wright State University School of Medicine in Ohio where he served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow and Clinical Assistant Professor.

Dr. Jamal is a lead investigator and sub-investigator in many research studies helping identify new devices and treatments to improve patient outcome. Dr. Jamal is currently sub-investigator in Low Risk TAVR (Trans-Aortic Valve Replacement) study.

Depends on next visit in 10 months. Big improvemnet to see a MD. Jamal. I trained for 6 years in Oxford England in Anesthesiology. ALw ays thought US medical was so much better but after Abrazo and Az experience which is "middle ages" at best. Oxford is superior!

I saw he was so helpful in explaining what the stress test and echocardiogram results were even use the computer on the wall to help give me a visual which was very helpful given I Have some memory deficit. Dr. Jamal saved my life. He has always been kind, courteous and competent. He doesn't mind repeating information to accommodate my hearing loss. He includes my daughter in any discussion so that she can interpret correctly for me. One weekend I had a bad reaction to Plavix, Dr. Jamal was on call. He called back within a few minutes and he spoke to my daughter who interpreted for me. He immediately called in a new prescription for me. He has always been patient and interested in my welfare. He has made time for me in his clinic so I wouldn't have to travel two hours time after time. He is very courteous and knowledgeable. He waits for me to speak and waits for the interpretation. I had a cardiac cath in February and I can say with all honesty I have never had a cardiac cath done so well with little issues afterwards. He is a great physician and I am very lucky to have him. My TAVR is in the correct place, no bleeding, no complications from the very first day. I was out of the hospital in less than 24 hours due to his great surgery skills. I am so lucky to have him as my surgeon.

I wish there were more drs. like *Dr. Rappaport. Actually takes time, looks at you face to face & goes over your results. My husband has a cardiologist at another practice & it seems like his dr. is always looking at computer and doesn't feel like he pays any attention to what is being said. *Dr. Rappaport genuinely seems like he is listening and cares. You should close this doctor. Hard to find a great dr. like him. *Dr. Rappaport.)

response from the medical assistant in a shorter period will be helpful, but about 1 day is standard, which is what I experienced. But, days turn into weeks, and so on, it would help expedite my treatment as a patient to receive updates and results as quickly as possible.
