Abrazo Health offers Angio Screen risk assessments in February – Heart Month!

Abrazo Health announces low-cost Angio Screen heart and stroke risk assessments will be offered at multiple hospital locations throughout the Valley in February – part of Heart Month 2025, when people worldwide are encouraged to take control of their own heart health to prevent the number one killer of Americans each year, heart disease.

The screenings can identify potential artery blockages and other heart health issues. 

Angio Screen exams take only about 10 minutes and assess the circulatory system in your neck and ankle arteries, heart rhythm, blood pressure and fitness. Cost for the screening is $59 and includes: 

• Quick Carotid Ultrasound to check pressure and look for blockage(s)
• Simple EKG exam for Atrial Fibrillation 
• Extremity circulation check for peripheral vascular disease 
• Blood pressure check for hypertension 
• Private consultation with clinician 

“Potential artery blockages, atrial fibrillation and dangerously high blood pressure have been found in individuals during previous screening events,” said Abrazo Health Outreach Manager Cindy Roberts, RN. “Every 30 seconds an American has a heart attack. Isn’t 10-minutes worth your time to see if you are at risk?” said Roberts. 

Participants can use their Angio Screen information/results to share with their doctor(s) but should not let them replace regular examinations and consultations with personal physicians, noted Roberts.
