Community Springs Into Better Health at Abrazo Scottsdale Campus
Scottsdale — Abrazo Scottsdale Campus welcomed community members of all ages to its free Spring Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 16. The interactive event offered hands-on health education, preventive screenings, emergency preparedness demonstrations, and exciting glimpses into the future of healthcare technology and robots.

Families explored a wide variety of activities designed to promote wellness in a fun, engaging environment, such as free CPR and first aid demonstrations, on-site blood pressure and BMI screenings, and even to get basic blood draws with immediate results and guidance from medical professionals.
“The community got to see some of what we do here, from caring for emergencies to preventive measures, and even test drive some of our high-tech robots,” said Rona Curphy, Chief Operating Officer, Abrazo Scottsdale Campus. “Events like this help build trust and encourage our neighbors to take charge of their health.”
Visitors were especially fascinated by the display of state-of-the-art medical robots, getting a chance to see them in action and learn how these advanced technologies are enhancing precision, safety, and patient outcomes at Abrazo facilities.
Additional highlights included tours of a fire truck and ambulance, face painting, healthy lifestyle information booths, and direct conversations with Abrazo physicians and clinical staff.
“It’s not every day you get to see these futuristic-looking robots at work and learn how far healthcare has come because of them. Having all this expertise and education under one roof was a great way to learn what is available these days in healthcare, right here at Abrazo Scottsdale,” said visitor Scott Montoya.
Guests left with practical giveaways to support their wellness journey at home, including first aid supplies, Chapstick, sunscreen and more.
The Spring Health & Wellness Fair demonstrates Abrazo Scottsdale Campus’s commitment to community outreach and preventive care. By bringing together clinical expertise, emergency services partners, and innovative technology under one roof, the event helped demystify healthcare and empowered attendees with knowledge and tools for healthier living.
