GOODYEAR – Abrazo West Campus has been honored with the 2025 WESTMARC Best of the West Award for Excellence in Innovation, recognizing the hospital’s outstanding contributions to advancing healthcare quality, technology, and community well-being in the West Valley.

The award was presented to Abrazo West Campus Chief Executive Officer Hans Driessnack during the 33rd Annual Best of the West Awards Dinner, held Thursday night at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.
The annual event, now in its 35th year, celebrates visionary organizations and leaders whose work strengthens the West Valley’s economic vitality and quality of life.
“We are honored to be recognized by WESTMARC for our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care,” said Driessnack.
“Our mission is to continually improve the quality of life for the communities we serve. Every team member—from our physicians and nurses to our technologists and support staff—plays an essential role in creating an exceptional hospital experience and delivering great outcomes for our patients.”
Abrazo West has made significant investments in advanced medical technologies and sub-specialty services – totaling nearly $50 million over the last three years alone – to enable West Valley residents to have access to high acuity care close to home and enhance the community’s quality of life.
“This recognition reflects the strength of our community partnerships and our commitment to providing exceptional care close to home,” Driessnack added. “We are proud to serve the West Valley and grateful to be part of its continued growth and success.”
