Abrazo Health Celebrates National Donate Life Month in April
National Donate Life Month: Leave a Legacy of Hope Through Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation
PHOENIX – Abrazo Health has teamed up with Donor Network of Arizona throughout April to recognize National Donate Life Month and build awareness about the ability of organ and tissue donation to heal and save lives.

The 2026 theme, “Leave a Legacy” uses the symbol of trees to represent life, growth, and the enduring connections created when people choose to donate. By registering as a donor, individuals plant the seeds for future generations — transforming tragedy into hope and leaving a lasting impact that grows far beyond their lifetime.
There are 1,212 people in Arizona waiting for a lifesaving organ, and 108,747 people on the national registry, according to the Donor Network of Arizona.
Abrazo Health hospitals in the Valley will hold various events like raising the Donate Life flag at ceremonies where donor family members will share what donation has meant to them.
Abrazo hospitals will also honor Blue & Green Day — observed yearly on the second Friday of April as part of National Donate Life Month — when the public is encouraged to wear blue and green to promote organ donation registration.
"Flag raisings like these serve as powerful reminders of the hope and healing made possible through organ donation,” said Rochel Franks, Donor Program Coordinator with the Donor Network of Arizona.

“By registering as a donor, you can give the gift of life and bring hope to those waiting. We encourage everyone to make their decision known and join this life-saving mission.”
