Abrazo Central Helps Kids at Maryland School in Phoenix Go Back to Class in Style
PHOENIX – Abrazo Central Campus employees rallied to support Maryland School, a pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade school in central Phoenix, by donating 75 backpacks filled with lots of essential school supplies, tons of hope and endless well wishes.
“Our partnership with Maryland School is deeply meaningful. As their neighbor, we’re dedicated to ensuring these students have the tools they need to start the school year with confidence and enthusiasm,” said Gregory Pearson, CEO of Abrazo Central Campus.

Employees also collected two large boxes of classroom materials including paper, pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks, and safe scissors.
The annual back-to-school supply drive reflects Abrazo Central’s ongoing commitment to Maryland School, one of its long-standing community partners.
“These donations go beyond supplies — they send a powerful message to students that their community believes in their potential and is invested in their success,” said Eileen Maddix, Executive Assistant to the CEO at Abrazo Central.
“Organizing this initiative is a privilege and reflects our team’s compassion, dedication and connection to our community,” said Maddix.
Abrazo Central employees delivered the donations in late July, ensuring students were equipped for a strong start to the academic year.
Maryland School Principal Nick Gupton expressed gratitude for the support. “We are incredibly thankful to Abrazo Central and everyone who contributed to this initiative. Their generosity is making a tangible impact, empowering our students and demonstrating the strength of community collaboration,” Gupton said.
