I was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, namely, the greater Seattle area. For my undergraduate degree, I attended Washington State University in Pullman, WA. Go Cougs! At this institution, I received my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. After that, I attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, to obtain a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences. During graduate school, I researched immunology and neonatology. Upon graduating from Drexel University, I worked for a year at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the department of Lymphatics and Cardiology. This gave me the opportunity to work with world renowned physicians and contribute to cutting-edge research. During this time, I applied for medical school and chose to attend A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. Students in this program stay in Arizona for one year before they are sent to Community Health Centers across the country. I was placed in the St. Louis/Southern Illinois region. I’m excited to return to Arizona and experience all the desert region has to offer! During my residency, I would love to explore Disaster Medicine and social justice within the Emergency Medicine specialty. Outside of medicine, you can find me at a local coffee shop or at home with my two cats reading fiction. I have a passion for trying new cuisines everywhere I go. I already have a list of places I want to try when I move back to Arizona! I also enjoy different types of exercise and movement such as hot yoga, Pilates, dancing, and weight training.
