Scott Morey

Scott Morey is the Chief Nursing Officer responsible for all aspects of clinical operations, including standards of nursing practice, staffing effectiveness, competencies and compliance with all applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies.  With Morey’s operational leadership of quality and risk management, medical staff services, laboratory, medical imaging, pharmacy and respiratory therapy, his focus is to ensure all departments within Maryvale Hospital work as one health care delivery team to deliver safe, quality, cost effective care.  

Morey has more than 15 years of combined clinical and management experience. He began his clinical career as a staff nurse in the critical care areas.  He served as Director of Emergency Services at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Prior to his work with Phoenix Baptist Hospital, he worked as Director of Telemetry and Emergency Services at Phoenix Memorial Hospital.

In 2011, he was selected to attend the Vanguard Leadership Academy, and was the first of this class in the Phoenix market to be promoted to an executive leadership role as a direct result of his participation in this program. He is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.

He received his Bachelors in Nursing from D’Youville College in Buffalo, N.Y and went on to earn his Master’s in Business Administration – Healthcare Management from University of Phoenix in Phoenix, AZ.
