Jacob Gerstman was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Arizona with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. There he served as an EMS physician for the city of Pittsburgh, being a first responder to cardiac arrests, large fires, prolonged extrications, and other serious events. He took his first position out of residency in the WellStar system in Atlanta, Georgia where he was also a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Medical College of Georgia. He is now back home in Arizona where he works at several of the hospitals in the Abrazo system and serves as the Site Director for the Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital.
