David N. Ricks, MD is a board certified Emergency Physician and serves as the Facility Medical Director and Chair of Emergency Medicine at the Abrazo West and Abrazo Buckeye emergency departments.  He has worked for Abrazo as a staff physician since 2014.  He completed his BS in technology management at Utah Valley University with an emphasis in automotive technology.  He completed his medical studies at The Ohio State University and trained in emergency medicine at the MetroHealth/Cleveland Clinic Emergency Medicine Residency.  Before his medical studies Dr. Ricks lived internationally doing missionary work and speaks Spanish fluently.  Dr. Ricks has consistently been involved in administration at Abrazo West and Abrazo Buckeye since 2015 and has been involved in quality improvement in areas such as stroke, STEMI, and trauma care.  In his spare time he enjoys cooking, hiking, and film photography.
