Abrazo West Campus receives SW Valley Chamber Icon Award

Jun 26, 2018

Hospital recognized for contributions to community's quality of life

Southwest Valley Chamber Icon Award recipientsGOODYEAR (June 26, 2018) – Abrazo West Campus is recipient of the Southwest Valley Chamber's Icon Award for 2018. Awards were presented during the Chamber’s annual Southwest Valley Awards Gala held at the Wigwam Arizona.

The Swaggies, as the gala is nicknamed, is where Chamber members, volunteers, and others are recognized for their achievements and role in the community.

As this year's Icon Award recipient, Abrazo West Campus has been an essential business in the Southwest Valley for 15 years. It is an economic development asset having an impact beyond our four cities and contributes to our community's high quality of life, according to Southwest Valley Chamber President & CEO John Safin.

“Hundreds of thousands of people have benefitted from their services. Additionally, they have kept up with a changing world by adding new services and expanding ones already offered,” noted Safin. “They participate in the community through volunteering and giving other support. The Southwest Valley would not be the same without their presence.”

Abrazo West Campus is a 188-bed acute care hospital that opened in September 2003. It offers advanced surgical technology with experienced, compassionate, staff dedicated to providing quality and safe patient care.

As a state designated Level 1 Trauma Center, it also offers comprehensive orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, hand, cardiovascular, obstetrics, women’s health, wound care with hyperbaric treatment and therapy as well as 24-hour emergency care.

“I am proud to accept the Icon Award on behalf of our board, all the employees, physician partners and our volunteer ambassadors at the Abrazo West Campus. We look forward to providing continued service and high quality healthcare to the communities we serve,” said Abrazo West Campus CEO Stan Holm.

Seven Southwest Valley businesses were nominated for the Icon Award.
