Born and raised in California, I pursued a residency program in Family Medicine — specifically seeking a small, unopposed community program. This pursuit led me to Phoenix, which was a perfect destination given my and my husband's love of outdoor activities. I attended the Phoenix Baptist Family Medicine Residency Program, acting as Chief Resident in my final year, and earning the resident teaching award.

After residency, I took a position in a Phoenix Baptist Outpatient Clinic where I spent time practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine including inpatient and obstetrics. My career plan was to become full-time faculty, and I accepted a faculty position at Phoenix Baptist, eager to teach and give back to the program. My husband, Brent, and I are the proud parents of a daughter, son and various house pets. As a busy mom/wife/doctor, I take on Rim-to-Rim Grand Canyon hikes and compete in Triathlons in my spare time.

I firmly believe in preserving and teaching the full spectrum capabilities of the family physician so graduates of our program can practice in any setting and man the front lines of any healthcare reform plan.
