Hi everyone, I’m Stephanie! I was born and raised in sunny South Florida. After I completed my undergraduate education, I worked as a scribe in the Emergency Department. I loved my time spent in the ED and it definitely biased me towards the thrilling and unpredictable field of Emergency Medicine. Wanting to further my education I relocated to the suburbs of Chicago where I obtained a master’s degree. After two years of living through frigid winters I decided to move out west to Arizona for medical school. Best decision (I mean 300 days of sunshine a year)! I am very happy to be staying here for residency and excited to continue exploring every mountain and Italian restaurant in Arizona! Abrazo is everything I could have asked for in a residency. The people, the training, and the residents are all phenomenal! The residents welcomed me with open arms for my audition and happily answered the million questions I had. It encompasses my main clinical interests of trauma, wilderness and disaster medicine. Beyond medicine, I enjoy traveling, living an active lifestyle, and am an enthusiast of anything outdoors or involving the ocean. When I’m not working or studying you can find me at the gym, hiking, finding any body of water in AZ, or spending the day in Flagstaff or Sedona. I am excited to be a part of the Abrazo family and grow as a physician!
