Joseph Wood is originally from Chicago, IL where he did his residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center and pursued his Juris Doctorate in 1991 at University of Chicago. He is the recipient of the prestigious Joseph F. Waeckerle, MD, FACEP "Founder's Award" from EMRA and has multiple awards for outstanding speaker recognition from his time at Mayo School of Continuous Professional Development. He is a world renown expert in ultrasound and continues to be a leader in his field of Emergency Medicine working with AAEM.
