Crystal Hamilton

Crystal Hamilton has served as the Chief Executive Officer at Maryvale Hospital since 2011.  Hamilton’s tenure with Maryvale Hospital is part of a distinguished career as a clinician and executive administrator in healthcare. She is responsible for planning, directing and managing the current operations, future growth, program development, community outreach, and physician relations for Maryvale Hospital.

Among the accomplishments Hamilton is most proud of in her career is helping to change the culture of the organizations she has led to become more customer service and patient safety-oriented, improving quality outcomes, and being fiscally responsible, all while improving employee engagement.

Hamilton joined Maryvale Hospital as Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer in 2006. She has been instrumental in building back the trust of the Maryvale community members. She serves as Vice Chair of the Maryvale Revitalization Committee.  Hamilton received the award for 2014 Outstanding Maryvale Community Woman of the Year. 

Prior to coming to Maryvale Hospital, Hamilton served for more than 25 years in various leadership capacities at Tempe St. Lukes Hospital in Tempe, Arizona among other hospitals in Arizona, California and Washington. Hamilton began her career in 1982 as a staff nurse in the Med/Surg/Oncology unit at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, Washington. 

Hamilton received her bachelor's in business administration and a master’s in business administration from City University in Bellevue, Washington. She is also a licensed registered nurse.
