Prepared Childbirth Class: 3 Week Series - Arrowhead Campus

Series of three classes held on Wednesday Evenings (with the exception of the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas)

This class is designed for mothers (and their partner) who have never attended preparation classes. This class includes an in person tour of the labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units. This class covers many aspects of pregnancy and childbirth: - Physical and psychological changes - Hospital admission procedures and routines - Stages of labor - Medical interventions - Cesarean birth - Pain management options - Partner's role in labor and delivery - Breathing and relaxation techniques In addition the class covers information about the recovery period for mom and baby, newborn procedures after birth, newborn appearance, choosing a pediatrician, post-partum care.

**You do not need to register your partner/coach separately**

Please be aware that classes are non-refundable if cancelling less than one week in advance and a $10 fee will be assessed. This does not apply to an absence due to a medical condition. Make-up classes are available.
