Basil Al Khatib, MD

Dr. Alkhatib was trained and certified to do procedures including coronary angiography and stenting, peripheral angiography and stenting, intracoronary atherectomy, as well as numerous structural heart procedures including transaortic valve implantation. Dr Alkhatib is board certified in nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He received his Bachelors Degree from Arizona State University. Aside from his clinical duties, Dr. Alkhatib enjoys publishing and has several publications including book chapters in the field of interventional cardiology. He is fluent in Arabic and medical Spanish. In his spare time he enjoys long distance running, playing soccer and hiking.
