There may be very little you can do to avoid primary
brain tumors. You can do nothing about your heredity, which is one of the few known risk factors. Avoiding radiation and toxins is desirable, unless the
radiation
is used to treat a cancer. While it is difficult to reduce your risk of primary brain tumors, you can reduce your risk of tumors that may spread to the brain, including
lung,
breast,
melanomas, and
prostate.
