FIRST STAND ALONE FULL-SERVICE EMERGENCY CENTER SET TO OPEN IN BUCKEYE: AUG. 2
West Valley Emergency Center offers comprehensive emergency care, radiology and laboratory services
BUCKEYE (July 20, 2011) – For residents of Buckeye and neighboring communities, emergency care is now closer to home. West Valley Emergency Center is scheduled to open on Aug. 2. This 14-bed, full-service emergency center is located at 525 S. Watson Road in Buckeye.
West Valley Emergency Center will occupy 12,000-square-feet with an additional 8,000-square-feet dedicated to imaging and laboratory services. The second floor will add an additional 20,000 square feet to be used for physician office space. West Valley Emergency Center will offer 24-hour medical care and is staffed by board certified physicians, specialty nurses and experienced health professionals. Additionally, CT scans, ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging services are available along with an on-site laboratory. West Valley Emergency Center is operated by West Valley Hospital, located just 13 miles away in Goodyear.
The concept of a stand-alone emergency center was designed to alleviate some of the tremendous need for emergency care in the south west Valley, including highly populated outlying areas. As an extension of West Valley Hospital, patients will experience a seamless integration of services and care between the hospital and the Emergency Center. Many of the communities that are further west of the hospital do not have immediate access to emergency medical services. West Valley Emergency Center will fulfill this vital need for the residents and visitors of Buckeye as well as its neighboring communities.
“We are honored to provide a unique medical center where residents of Buckeye and surrounding areas can obtain comprehensive emergency care,” said Jo Adkins, chief executive officer, West Valley Hospital. “This is an example of our efforts to create life-long relationships with patients and their loved ones by changing the way health and health care are delivered in the communities we serve.”
Join us for a community open house event on Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Valley Emergency Center. Come and tour the new facility, meet staff, visit with the Buckeye Fire Department and enjoy fun for the entire family!
