  • Cardiocerebral Resuscitation (CCR) saves West Valley Hospital patient’s life

    On Friday, January 29, a 27 year old female was at an outpatient dialysis center when she went into full cardiac arrest. Goodyear Fire Department paramedics arrived and began cardiocerebral resuscitation (CCR). The young mother was brought to West Valley Hospital, a designated Cardiac Arrest Center by the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma system.

  • Arrowhead Hospital Receives Chest Pain Center with PCI Accreditation

    The leading cause of death in the United States is heart attacks, with 600,000 Americans dying annually of heart disease. And with more than five million Americans rushed to hospitals each year suffering from chest pain, it’s critical that they receive treatment from certified hospitals trained to recognize and react to the early symptoms of possible heart attacks. That’s why Arrowhead Hospital is proud to announce it has received full Chest Pain Center Cycle III accreditation with PCI from the Society of Chest Pain Center’s Accreditation Review Committee.
