Undergraduate School: UT at Arlington
Medical School: ATSU-KCOM
Clinical Interests: Underserved populations, Women’s Health and Preventative Medicine
My name is Kelly Isbell and I am a D.O. graduate from ATSU-KCOM. I was born in Santa Ana, CA but I grew up in Fort Worth, TX. I attended UT at Arlington for undergrad and achieved my B.S. with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. I had a year off between undergrad and medical school that I spent in San Antonio volunteering with Americorps as a City Year member.
I completed my first two years of medical school in Kirksville, MO and did my clinical rotations in Phoenix, AZ, mostly at PBH. I am excited about training in Family Medicine at Phoenix Baptist Hospital and after residency, I plan to work as an employed physician in an underserved community. During my free time, I enjoy dancing Salsa and Bachata. I love comedy. Some of my favorite comedians include Brian Regan, Anjelah Johnson, and Russell Peters. Also, I recently started learning Krav Maga, a form of self-defense developed by the Israeli Defense Forces.
