I did my residency training in Grand Junction, Colorado and further developed my Sports Medicine interests by completing a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While in Minnesota, I had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Robert Johnson, who was an original founder of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. I have acted as the head team physician for five universities and for the Minnesota State High School League. I also have medical experience at many mass-participation sporting events and in working ski trauma. I bring this experience to the residency in teaching musculoskeletal pathology and medical conditions unique to the athlete and active individuals.
I feel blessed to be married to my wonderful wife and to have two precious boys, Luke and Finn. I enjoy wakeboarding on the beautiful Arizona lakes, picking on Residents, sand volleyball, mountain biking, snowboarding, golf, and anything outdoors.
