Dr. Cardenas has been practicing medicine since 1990. His extensive practice experience includes military medicine, tropical medicine, care in remote areas, and standard rural and big city practices. He has trained countless physician assistant students and nurse practitioner students over the years and now brings his expertise in Family Medicine to the Phoenix Baptist Hospital Family Residency Program.
During a transitional year residency in San Bernadino County Medical Center in southern California, Dr. Cardenas obtained extensive experience in outpatient management of orthopedic injuries, brain injuries, minor surgical procedures, and obstetrics.
