West Valley Hospital has earned a state designation as a Level 1 Trauma Center, which is the highest status attainable. The Level 1 Trauma Center offers 24-hour emergency care and advanced treatment options for a variety of traumatic injuries. It is the first Level 1 Trauma Center in the West Valley and will serve Arizona communities up to the California state line. The state designation comes after extensive preparations including about 70 mock drills over 17 days and a $26 million expansion project.
