For the second straight year, Arrowhead Hospital’s Cardiac Surgery Program has been awarded the highest national ranking -- 3 Stars -- from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS). Only 15% of hospitals nationwide received this year’s STS 3 star rating – the highest category of quality of cardiac surgery.

Arrowhead Hospital’s Critical Care Unit (CCU) was recently named a Beacon Award winner for Critical Care Excellence, placing it among the top critical care units in the nation. Arrowhead was one of only 32 Critical Care Units out of 5500 CCU’s nationwide awarded the spring 2009 Beacon Award. It was also the only hospital in Arizona to be given the award this year.
