Vanguard Health Systems, Inc. announced the recent appointment of Ken Howell as Corporate-Senior Vice President of Vanguard Health Systems and President of Abrazo Health Care, its Phoenix-based operations.
Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Phoenix City Council members, hospital and business leaders announced on Thursday a new plan to stabilize economic vitality in the health-care industry by creating a new funding source to help cover the costs of the uninsured.
Two of the state’s largest hospital and health care organizations, Dignity Health and Vanguard Health Systems, which owns Abrazo Health Care, announced today the intention to create a joint Accountable Care Organization (ACO). This alliance will involve more than 700 physicians throughout Maricopa County. The ACO will support enhanced clinical collaboration and care improvements for Medicare patients living in the county.
As part of May’s “National Stroke Awareness Month,” Abrazo Health Care has teamed up with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to offer free stroke screenings to the community at Hospitals throughout the Valley.
